Saher Selod is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Simmons College. Her research interrogates how Muslim Americans experience racialization through their surveillance. Her book Forever Suspect: Racialized Surveillance of Muslim Americans in the War on Terror is currently under contract with Rutgers University Press. She has also published in Critical Sociology and Sociology Compass.
The Center for Race and Gender (CRG) is an interdisciplinary research center at the University of California Berkeley that fosters explorations of race and gender and their intersections. Specifically, they facilitate on-going research projects through hosting working groups and cutting edge projects, such as the Islamophobia Research & Documentation Project.
